I’ve adapted some ideas about
thinking through to serve as an introduction to the book. I’m trying to
weave together ideas of method starting with the DesCartes' Discourse on Method. Some of the threads:
- From method to tools
- Tools as interpretative things – hence hermeneutica
- Responding
to the growth of human information. Is it a problem of too much or a
problem of how to interpret – and therefore the need for interpretative
things?
- Thinking through as a dialogical practice between
two people (pair/extreme text analysis), between tools and texts, and
between practices and evidence.
